1. What TokLiveRecorder is

TokLiveRecorder provides two ways to record a livestream:

• Cloud recording on this website — you submit a public livestream link and our servers record it for you. The resulting file is stored privately for 7 days, during which you can download it, and is then deleted automatically. You are responsible for downloading it before it expires.
• The desktop app for Windows and macOS — records livestreams and application windows to video files on your own computer.

By using the site, starting a cloud recording or downloading the app, you agree to these terms.

1a. Cloud recording — how it works

Cloud recording is available without an account for a limited number of free recordings, which are tied to your browser session; signing in with Google raises your limit and saves your recordings to your account. When you submit a link you instruct us to access that publicly available livestream and record it on your behalf; you confirm you have the right to make that recording (see section 2). We record only what the platform serves publicly and we do not bypass paywalls, private streams or login-gated content.

Recordings are capped in number — a running total for anonymous use, or per day once you sign in — and in length per recording, and are subject to fair-use limits that protect the service from abuse. We may queue, decline or stop a recording to keep the service available for everyone. Livestreams end, move or become unavailable without warning, so we cannot guarantee any given recording will succeed or complete.

1b. Monitoring a streamer

You can ask us to watch a streamer for their next LIVE. Doing so is a standing instruction: until you remove it, we check that account's public live status on your behalf at intervals we choose, and — if auto-record is on — start a recording when we detect a stream. The same limits, confirmations and responsibilities in sections 1a and 2 apply to every recording made this way, exactly as if you had submitted the link yourself.

You can remove a monitor at any time, and it stops immediately. Monitors expire after 30 days without a detected stream; you can renew them. We check periodically rather than continuously, so we cannot guarantee that any given stream will be detected, detected at its start, or recorded in full. If your recording limit is already used up when a stream starts, we will not record it.

2. Acceptable use — this part matters

TokLiveRecorder is built for lawful recording: archiving your own broadcasts, recording channels you manage, and capturing streams you have the right or permission to record (compliance records, client work, authorized archiving, personal reference). This applies equally to cloud recording and the desktop app.

You agree not to use TokLiveRecorder to:

• republish, redistribute or monetize someone else's content without their permission;
• infringe any person's copyright, privacy or publicity rights;
• violate applicable laws or the terms of the platforms you record from;
• record or distribute content involving minors inappropriately or any unlawful content.

You are solely responsible for what you record and what you do with the recordings.

3. Not affiliated with any platform

TokLiveRecorder is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok/ByteDance, Twitch, Kick, YouTube/Google or X Corp. Platform names are used only to describe compatibility.

4. Accounts

You can start recording without an account, up to a running free limit tied to your browser (a session identifier stored in a cookie that lasts up to 90 days; clearing it or switching browsers may lose access to those recordings). Signing in with Google — creating a free account — raises your limit to a per-day allowance and keeps your recordings in one place. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to it secure. One account is for one person; usage quotas may not be circumvented by creating multiple accounts or sessions. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.

5. A free service

TokLiveRecorder is currently provided free of charge, subject to the fair-use limits described above. We do not sell subscriptions and do not collect any payment or card details. We may change the limits, or introduce paid options, in the future; any such change will be reflected on this page and on our pricing page before it takes effect.

You may not reverse-engineer, resell or redistribute the software, and you may not circumvent the usage limits by creating multiple accounts.

6. No warranty

The software and site are provided "as is". Platforms change constantly and we cannot guarantee every stream can be recorded. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost recordings, lost profits or any indirect damages.

7. Copyright, DMCA and takedowns

We respect intellectual-property rights and respond to valid takedown notices.

• Cloud recordings are stored on our servers in private storage for 7 days, accessible only to the browser session or account that created them. If you believe a recording infringes your rights, we will remove it — see our copyright policy for how to send a notice and what happens next.
• Desktop-app recordings exist only on the user's own computer. We do not host, receive or have access to them, so there is nothing for us to remove — such notices must be directed to the user.

Send notices to legal@tokliverecorder.com. We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
