Privacy Policy

The short version

Recordings made with the TokLiveRecorder desktop app are created and stored on your own computer. They are never uploaded to us. On this website we collect only what you actively give us (your email address, if you subscribe) and basic anonymous usage analytics.

What we collect on this website

  • Email address — only if you submit it in a signup form. We use it to send you the download link, launch updates and occasional product news. Every email includes an unsubscribe option. We store the email together with the page it was submitted from, the submission time, your browser's user-agent string and coarse country code.
  • Live-status lookups — if you use the free "is this creator live" tool, the username you type is forwarded to TikTok to fetch the public live status. We do not store your queries.
  • Analytics — standard, aggregate website analytics (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). No advertising trackers.

What the desktop app does and doesn't do

The app records streams directly from your machine to your chosen local folder. We do not receive, store or have any access to your recordings, your watchlist or the accounts you record. The app contacts our servers only to check for software updates and (for Pro subscribers) to validate the license.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell your data. We share it only with the service providers needed to run this product (hosting, email delivery), under their own privacy obligations.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe at any time, and you can ask us to delete your email and associated data by writing to hello@tokliverecorder.com. We'll do it within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we'll note it here with a new "last updated" date.
